The Welcome Email:
This email was sent by our team immediately after your sale. It contains your username and password so that you can log in to our Local Splash Dashboard (pictured below). This is where you can see your account details, the progress we are making, you can check your rankings and see how many times your Google listing has come up in search results.
Also in the Welcome Email is a link to an online form that will allow you to submit your business details to us. If you choose to fill out this form, it will speed up your account setup and that means you’ll start to see higher rankings – faster!
The next step in the account setup process will be your Client Interview. You may have already had your interview immediately following your sale. If this isn’t the case, your interview was scheduled at the time your account was created. If you are unsure of your interview time, call our Customer Service (877-635-6225) for those details. The Client Interview will take about 20-30 minutes, during which you will discuss business details such as your address, phone number, store hours and your products or services.
Getting Google PIN Verified
After your Client Interview, we need to claim and verify your Google Listing. There are two ways to do this. Our Provisioning team will let you know which way your listing will have to be claimed and verified.
One way is to have Google call your business location and give you a 5-digit PIN number. You will then give it to us and we’ll claim and verify your business for you.
The second way involves Google sending you a letter in the mail that contains your PIN number. This letter usually arrives within 2 weeks of your client interview. Once you receive this letter in the mail, please call our Local Splash Customer Service immediately (877-635-6225) so we can get you Google PIN verified and help boost your rankings.
After your Client Interview, our content editing team will be busy at work entering your information into our system and creating the content for your Geo-Targeted Landing Page (GLP) and directory listings. Your GLP is the four-page landing site that consumers can visit to find information like your address, phone number, store hours, description of products/services and links to each link directory destination Local Splash submits your business to. Some clients have opted out of our GLP service so if this is the case, the content will only be used for your directory listings. These directories include Google+ Local, Yahoo! Local, Bing Places and more!
Once the content is created and all of your data has been entered into the system, it is reviewed by our Quality Control team then published. You will receive an email when this has been completed. This whole process can take up to three weeks.
When Will You See Results?
The time it takes to see results depends on multiple factors. Your location and industry are two important factors. If your industry is highly competitive and you are in a densely populated area, it will take longer to see results than if you were in a less competitive industry in a sparsely populated area. High rankings do not happen overnight, they take time and effort. This is why we ask our clients to allow us up to six weeks to get them to the first page of the search results. However, we feel like we should mention that we have seen some clients reach the first page of search results in as little as two weeks.
